Title Re-Establishment Survey – Mount Franklin, Ballarat

The Swanson Surveying Ballarat Office was recently engaged to undertake a survey to re-establish and mark the title boundaries of an unused Government Road and 8 hectare rural property at Mount Franklin.

Our client was in the process of constructing a new shed within the vicinity of the unmade government road and wanted to ensure their building did not encroach on government land. The survey involved re-establishing an 80 year old crown plan through measuring old survey marks and the position of old fencing, a complex task that can only be undertaken by a qualified Licensed Land Surveyor. Our experienced Licensed Surveyor undertook the survey utilising a combination of high accuracy GPS and total station technology, allowing him to provide our client with a timely and affordable service.

A record of re-establishment plan was prepared and lodged with the office of the Surveyor General. This plan ensures that the title re-establishment survey is formerly recorded on a public database and provides value to Victoria’s cadastral system as it alerts other surveyors to a survey of that property.

If you require a Licensed Surveyor for works on your property or would like more information regarding surveying services for Ballarat and regional Victoria, please don’t hesitate to contact our office.
